Troy Montero

Troy Montero shares his family's COVID-19 plan.

Actor Troy Montero is among the latest additions to celebrities who unfortunately contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19). Since the onset of the record-high daily surge, his family has already laid out a plan in case the virus enters their household.

In an Instagram post, the actor shared that he too had COVID-19 according to his antigen and RT-PCR tests.

After knowing he has it, he quickly set-up his own isolation area in their garage. It was part of their family's plan in case one of them gets infected.

“I tested positive for COVID-19 (both RT-PCR & antigen). After a positive antigen test, I went straight to the garage to set up my little recovery camp while scheduling a RT-PCR test from @kolakerapp home service. This was always our plan, if one of us caught the virus,” Troy said.

His symptoms were colds, dry cough, fever, splitting headache, and body aches mostly on the legs, forearms, elbow joints, ribs, and hips.

For him, the body aches are the worst symptoms he endured, “It's like sitting down but you can never get comfortable. You're always shifting and moving every few seconds. It's that painful.”

As of his posting, he is now on his fourth day and has been consistently taking his medicines. His symptoms are also milder now but Troy will still continue his isolation until his tests negative.

At the end of his statement, he shared that he is fully vaccinated and was supposedly scheduled to have his booster this month.

Many celebrities who have come out to share that they too have contracted the virus, were mostly fully inoculated as well.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach who had just recovered from COVID-19 shared that she too endured symptoms despite securing her vaccine and booster shots.

Since the start of 2022, the country has been logging record-high daily cases that have breached the 30,000 mark. Experts warned that the cases might further swell, prompting the national government to raise Metro Manila to Alert Level 3 status until the end of January.
